The George Hotel (AA 2 Star) is ideally situated in the town square of the lovely market town of South Molton, North Devon, known as the 'Gateway to Exmoor'. The George Hotel is believed to be the oldest existing building in Reading, dating back to at least as far as 1423. It was one of the major coaching inns between London and the West Country in the 18th century, and it still retains many of its wonderful:original Coaching Inn features, including Tudor Archways and a very attractive Cobbled stone courtyard. The main entrance from King Street still contains some of the original timbers, and 18th and 19th century facades overlook the courtyard.

George Hotel Huddersfield right in the centre of the town. It’s the third hotel on the site; the first was built in 1687, the second in 1787 and this one opened in 1851. So for 250 years the George has been where the good and the great in Huddersfield have set out to enjoy themselves. In 1895 the Rugby League was formed at a meeting in the hotel and it’s well worth while having a look at the Rugby League Museum commemorating its history.
