The West Wing at Ickworth
The West Wing is part of Ickworth House, created in 1795 by the eccentric 4th Earl of Bristol to display collections gathered from all over Europe.
The house is surrounded by 1800 acres of Gardens and Pleasure Grounds. The Ickworth Estate was home to the Hervey family for 600 years. It was passed to the National Trust by Treasury Transfer in 1956 in lieu of death duties.
