The River & Rowing Museum
If you're looking for an unusual and contemporary function venue, the River & Rowing Museum is the perfect place. Situated overlooking the River Thames and Henley's picturesque water meadows, vast glass windows give magnificent views. Inside the galleries and conference rooms have been designed to create a spectacular feeling of light and air.The Museum has three function rooms. The Thames Room is a stunning room for parties, lectures or conferences with a seating capacity of 100. The Henley Room is a small meeting room with a capacity for up to 10 people and also a great break out area. The Rowing Gallery is available primarily for evening functions with a seated capacity of 120 people. Here guests dine underneath historic boats and artefacts which adorn the walls and ceiling.The River & Rowing Museum is the only museum of its kind in the world. It celebrates four themes – the international sport of rowing, the River Thames, the historic town of Henley and the story of The Wind in the Willows. The building itself has won numerous awards for its unique wooden construction. The Museum is fully equipped with the latest audio visual presentation equipment and offers an excellent catering service.
