An Edwardian style Shooting Lodge dating back to the mid nineteenth
century, Alvie House has a long tradition of being both a family home
and a place for gracious entertaining. Its warm welcome and
traditional charm allow guests to experience the style of a bygone age
when there was time for field sports, leisurely conversations, reading

v FilmingLocated within the CairngormNational Park, the House faces south with views across a small loch and native pine woodland towards the Cairngorm Mountains. It is the hub of the 13,000 acre Alvie & Dalraddy Estate, home to five generations of the Williamson family. The
light spacious rooms are filled with period furniture and family
portraits, reception rooms include a billiard room, drawing room and a
library with yards of bookshelves offering hours of holiday reading and
literary classics. The Dining Room Our
Chef prepares excellent cuisine, using local seasonal produce where
possible including, salmon, trout, venison, lamb and grouse from the
Estate.BedroomsThe traditional bedrooms and bathrooms are generously proportioned and comfortably furnished. Most have spectacular views across the loch and pine woodland towards the Cairngorm Mountains.On
the first floor there are 2 double rooms’ en-suite, 1 twin room
en-suite plus 4 further twin and 3 single rooms with bathrooms nearby. For
larger parties there are a further 5 twin rooms on the top floor and 1
double, 2 twin and 2 single rooms available in the North Wing.
