St Michael's Manor Hotel
Close to the centre of the ancient Roman city of St Albans, and near the famous cathedral, this magnificent town-house hotel is set in six acres of beautiful English country gardens, overlooking a lake.
The original house dates back over 500 years and was later converted into a hotel in the early 1960’s by the Newling Ward family, who still remain as private owners and managers.
The 30 rooms are individually styled, many of which overlook the lake and gardens. The room designs are a blend of classical and elegant décor creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The award winning restaurant gives excellent views across the garden and lake and is a much loved regular dining venue drawing food lovers from far and wide.
