Rutland Arms Hotel
At the heart of the picturesque town of Bakewell stands The Rutland Arms Hotel. The hotel was newly built in 1804 on the site of the old White Horse Inn.
Enjoy excellent continental cuisine and fine wines in the award winning Four Seasons Restaurant, which provides the perfect ambiance for a relaxed intimate candlelit dinner, family gathering, or formal occasion.
The Rutland Arms provides a lovely setting for wedding receptions, dinners, dances and also caters for conferences and meetings. All 35 rooms are en-suite and fully equipped.
We do know that Turner the painter, Byron, Coleridge and Wordsworth all stayed at the hotel on their visits to Chatsworth House, which acted as a magnet to Europe’s intelligentsia.
