Powell Cotton Museum, Quex House & Gardens
The Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House, Gardens and Banqueting Suite is situated in the beautiful grounds of Quex Park Estate. The museum was established 100 years ago by Major Powell-Cotton and has collections of African and Asian natural history and ethnography. The collections are extensively used by researchers and scientific institutes from all over the world, and are of huge international importance with frequent requests for DNA samples.
The banqueting suite attached to the museum offers a high-class venue for weddings, parties, seminars and business meetings. Quex House which dates back to around 1808 is licensed for civil marriages, and coupled with our beautiful gardens, private car park and the banqueting suite, makes Quex the premier venue for the area.
