Glasgow Film Theatre
GFT - The Glasgow Film Theatre is an independant 'art-house' cinema and also a registered educational charity based in the centre of Glasgow. The building was the original 'Cosmo' cinema which opened in 1939 and started a great tradition of showing 'continental' films. GFT has an extensive education program and is at the cutting-edge of cinema of all nationalities and genres. Our two auditoria have 394 (+ 4 wheelchair spaces), and 142 (+ 2 wheelchair spaces). There is a small cafe bar serving light lunches and a small over-spill bar which can accomodate up to 35 comfortably. We can cater for light luches for 25 or less and can offer drinks and nibbles for larger groups (70-100 approx). We can offer a variety of technical facilities and a full-time team of experienced staff on hand at all times.
