The Bull
The Bull dates back to 1688, situated along the London to Oxford road, at a time when it was one of the principal coaching routes in England. Whilst the hotel has come a long way from its roots as a coaching inn, there remains a real commitment to the traditional values of a warm welcome. Many improvements have been made to the interior over the years, whilst the facilities are modern, the decor is sympathetic to the original building. Leather Chesterfield sofas blend perfectly with beamed ceilings , ensuring the hotel retains its old world atmosphere and charm. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished, with State rooms offering luxurious features such as marble bathrooms, air conditioning, and high speed internet access. The Bull has a choice of bars to relax in, the Jack Shrimpton Bar offers a lively village pub atmosphere, whilst the Cocktail Lounge provides a quieter atmosphere and view of the beautiful gardens. The gardens at The Bull are a source of great pleasure, sit and while away the day in their tranquil surroundings, sympathetically landscaped with gazebos and seating.
