Craxton Studios

A unique late Victorian house built in the Art Nouveau style has long been a quality venue valued by clients ranging from the BBC to Counsellors in Primary Care. One of London's best kept secrets, the house and garden were designed and built by the Victorian artist and Royal Academician, George Hillyard Swinstead as his family home and artist's studio. From 1944 it has been the home of the eminent pianist and Professor of Music, Harold Craxton and his son the painter John Craxton R.A. It is now a family run business and is currently used by the cream of London and the world's classical and jazz musicians for rehearsals and by business clients for training days, seminars and receptions. Close to the M1 and A41 it is ideal for a range of different functions from intimate dinner parties to larger scale receptions, the facilities with their unique character offer quiet surroundings with a special ambience for formal and informal corporate training and entertaining.
